Administrative History | Petty Sessional divisions were re-organised at the time of local government re-organisation in 1974, the new divisions following the new District Council boundaries. Bakewell Petty Sessional Division became part of the West Derbyshire Magistrates' Court in 1974 and in 1978 it was absorbed into West Derbyshire Petty Sessional Division [see D3510].
Townships included in the Division were Abney, Ashford, Bakewell, Baslow and Bubnell, Beeley, Birchover, Blackwell, Calver, Chatsworth, Chelmorton, Curbar, Darley, Edensor, Elton, Eyam, Eyam Woodlands, Flagg, Foolow, Froggatt, Gratton, Grindlow, Harthill, Hartington Middle Quarter, Hassop, Hathersage, Hazlebadge, Highlow, Hucklow Great and Little, Ivonbrook Grange, Litton, Longstone Great and Little, Middleton and Smerrill, Monyash, Nether Padley, Offerton, Outseats, Over Haddon, Pilsley, Rowland, Rowsley, Sheldon, Stanton, Stoke, Stoney Middleton, Taddington and Priestcliffe, Tideswell, Wardlow, Wheston, Winster, Youlgreave. |
