10 July 1751 - Leeke is still at Dunkirk. He requests spectacles and various cloths
31 July 1751 - Leeke has had an accident in a chaise and has sprained his left wrist and bruised a shoulder
29 Dec 1751 - written at Calais on the way to Paris. Leeke is expecting a box of medecines
8 Jan 1752 - now at Paris. Leeke has had to buy two swords, two wigs and a black suit because the Queen of Denmark has died
14 Mar 1752 - Leeke is worried that Mary is living as a recluse. Mr Mundy is going to see Mr Allsopp, Leeke's agent, regarding the sale of the Leicestershire estate
6 April 1752 - back at Dunkirk. Leeke has acquired two rooms in a quiet part of the town with no dirty drunken Irishmen to plague him
20 April 1752 - he is not going to return to England while the Leicestershire estate remains unsold
27 May 1752 - his ankles are swelling and is weak
1 Jun 1752 - he is still lame and may be late for the season at Aix
24 Jul 1752 - Mary's health is poor. She has had two vapur baths
9 Aug 1752 - Leeke at Aix. He likens the country around Aix to that around Cheadle
12 Sep 1752 - he has benefitted by the water at Aix
21 Sep 1752 - Mr Smith will not buy the Leicestershire estate
1 Oct 1752 - the Leicestershire estate has been mortgaged. He will be happy with a small house in the north of England
