Copy of court roll: Surrender by Joshua Booth of Ridgeway, parish Eckington, yeoman, of messuage tenement or dwelling house in Ridgeway and 2 closes called the Sower Butts or Low Butts containing 4 acres formerly in possession of John Turner and now of John Cumberledge and admittance of John Bromehead of Eckington grocer and recovery of 2 messuages, 2 acres each of land, meadow and pasture and common of pasture in Ridgeway, Benjamin Rogers and George Bownes two of the copyhold tenants of the manor complainants, John Bromehead defendant Joshua Booth first vouchee to warranty, Rober Fallding second voucher to warranty and surrender of premises in surrender and recovery by Benjamin Rogers, George Bownes, Joshua Booth and John Bromehead declaring that the recovery should be to the use of Joshua Booth for life, then as directed in his will and in default to use of Joshua, his heirs and assign for ever, and admittance of Joshua Booth accordingly, in the court baron of - at Eckington before William Battie steward. 24 Jan
