Description
Bequeathing to his eldest son Gervase £10, to his daughter Lydia Wilkinson £10 and to his grandchild Anne Wilkinson £10 to be paid within 3 years of his death, to his wife Sarah half lands, tenements etc. in Hatton for her life, the half bequeathed after her death to William’s youngest son William, to same William the other half of the Hatton Property and lands, tenements etc in Littleover; the monetary bequests to be charged on William’s inheritance; bequeaths to Robert and Katherine Martins 20s. to each to be paid within 3 years of death. Son William sole executor and friend; Robert Norman clerk and Christopher Wright overseers.
Bears the date “31 May 4 Wm and Mary” [1692]; the mark of William Wilkinson; a note of probate in Lichfield Court and a note at Derby 18 November 1692 at the suit of William Wilkinson of the parish of Barrow upon Trent.
