Administrative History
Mugginton is one of the ancient parishes in the county. It includes the townships of Mercaston, Ravensdale Park and Weston Underwood. A chapel was founded at Hulland Ward Intakes in the late seventeenth century. The founder decreed that this was to be annexed to Mugginton after the death of his widow, daughter and son-in-law.
