Administrative History
Records of the parish of Temple Normanton St James from 1863. Temple Normanton was formerly a part of the parish of Chesterfield (for records of this see D643), a chapel of ease with its own church from at least the eighteenth century. It did not keep separate registers until the 1860s. Burial entries from 1973 are kept in the registers of St Pauls, Hasland (for records of this parish, see D1833).
