Administrative History | The parish of Bakewell with Over Haddon was one of the most extensive parishes in Derbyshire. It contained seven medieval parochial chapelries, Baslow, Beeley, Chelmorton, Harthill, Longstone, Monyash and Taddington as well as chapels of ease at Ashford and Nether Haddon. Sheldon was regarded as a chapel of ease to the chapelry of Ashford and Buxton a chapel of ease to the parochial chapelry of Chelmorton. Each of the chapelries is now a separate parish. |
