Eyre family of Hassop, earls of Newburgh
Administrative History
Hassop Hall was the seat of the Eyre family from the late 15th century and the Hall was entirely rebuilt in 1827-1833. Frances Eyre assumed the title of Earl of Newburgh in 1814.
