Description	Papers relating to various individual claims for industrial injury benefit. The claims were submitted to an Insurance Officer employed until 1953 by the Ministry of National Insurance, and from 1953 the Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance, and the paperwork (or copies) was sent, at the request of the claimant, to the Area Compensation Agent at the National Union of Mineworkers' (NUM) Derbyshire Area. It is unclear from the records themseleves which of these cases, if any, went before a Local or Medical Appeal Tribunal.
