Further information: The claimant appealed against the decision of 2 per cent disablement for life from 11 January 1951 after an accident which injured his left leg and back. The description of the accident on the medical reports refer to his right leg. On appeal the extent of disablement was increased to 10 per cent for life. The decision states 'no loss of faculty in the left leg [...] He will always have a permanent loss of faculty in his back as regards heavy lifting and working in a stooping position.'
