In December 1954 Mr Kitts, NUM Area Compensation agent, contacted the NCB Medical Centre Brookhill Colliery at Pinxton, requesting that Gell be assisted in finding suitable alternative work. Tribunal summary included: 'This man is a seborrhoeic subject and this condition has been aggravated by contact with irritants in the course of his work'.
