Further information: From a dermatologist's report December 1955: 'unless he loses a lot off weight he is likely to be a victim of recurrent attacks'. In December 1954 Mr Kitts, NUM Area Compensation agent, contacted the NCB Medical Centre Brookhill Colliery at Pinxton, requesting that Gell be assisted in finding suitable alternative work. Tribunal summary included: 'This man is a seborrhoeic subject and this condition has been aggravated by contact with irritants in the course of his work'.
