Further information: Decision states 'The man is now suffering from cheiro-pompholyx of the thenar eminences of both hands. This is neither Prescribed Disease no.24b or a sequela thereof.' Dictionary definition: a type of blistering eczema' and 'thenar' means the palms of the hands. Lee claimed, 'I first had dermatitis 18 months ago working as a Stripper but I kept on at work but had had to give up 7 September 1949 [...] ulceration and cracking of the hands.' Lee was unemployed at the time of appeal.
