Further information: A letter to Dr Watkins from the NUM in September 1952 asking for a Medical Report included: 'the extent of the disablement […] is less than 20 per cent. This means that as far as any payment is concerned it is nil [...] there appears to be some unforeseen and substantial and aggravating circumstances and the only way this man can be got before the Medical Board again is under Section 40'.
