Further information: Cotterill described a a 'former member' in November 1949. In medical report July 1950: 'He has certain nervous symptoms since his accident, is nervous about noise or a sudden 'start' shakes him' - then working as a billiard hall attendant. In October 1952 a letter to the NUM from the NCB Insurance department states that information regarding 'your member's earnings from the Egg Packing Station' are awaited. Further correspondence regarding payments of Supplementary Benefit.
