Further information: The decision paperwork states 'The appellant is suffering from an unconnected condition of cerebral arteriopathy upon which is superimposed anxiety hysteria.' According to handwritten notes the claimant has trouble sleeping and has not worked since 5 February 1951. The note states 'Previous to acd work 16 years without a holiday apart from stat holiday.' There are more detailed handwritten notes regarding the accident dated 6 May 1952, some relating to a 'tippler.' There are notes marked in red {omitted from claimant's copy) on the Medical Board Reports stating 'Mentally - Introspective - very sorry for himself' and notes relating to his mental condition, including a Psychiatrist's report. It is noted that 'The patient looks old for his years.'
