Further information: A handwritten note states 'Dismissal.' The Medical Board Report dated 4 September 1952 states the accident as 'Walking down coal face and a bar flew out bringing flamper down.' In the remarks (circled in red and stating 'omitted from claimant's copy') it states 'Claimant appears to be making most of disability.' A further note circled in red on a Medical Board Report dated 10 October 1951 states 'Hypertension.'
