Further information: First diagnosis of beat knee given in May 1949 and Bramley was awarded a 5 per cent disablement assessment in 1950 which was appealed against and after adjournment for an X-ray decided at the Tribunal hearing on 3 January 1951 to raise the disablement assessment to 30 per cent for 18 months from April 1950, noting chronic osteo-myelitis. It was reduced to 5 per cent at the next Medical Board. Hospital information indicated considerable improvement and 'I think he is fit to do suitable work'.
