1959
Description
Date of birth:
Marital status: Married
Address: 22 Moor Lane, Bolsover

Further information: The claimant was working underground when 'he slipped and fell onto a windy pick' on 12 May 1959, according to the Summary of facts on the Tribunal referral. Whilst off work he made a claim for disablement benefit for pneumoconiosis. Injury benefit was disallowed on the advice of a Medical Officer who stated the cause of incapacity was pneumoconiosis and not the accident. The tribunal found in favour of the claimant on 12 November 1959.
