Further information: According to the Summary of facts the claimant fractured his right leg on 6 January 1958 'when he fell over an idlerback whilst proceeding in bye.' It was accepted as an industrial accident and injury benefit was paid from 6 January 1958 to 5 July 1958. There is detailed information about pre-accident earnings. The claimant's post accident work was as a screen hand. In the Claimant's grounds of appeal dated 14 October 1959 is stated 'in my opinion I was misinformed by two different clerks [...] ' The Tribunal hearing of 24 November 1959 was adjourned for more information regarding work and wages and there is detail about the arrangements with bye-workers. On 22 December 1959 the Tribunal found in favour of the claimant.
