Initial diagnosis was strain to left side and heart and injury benefit was paid; then in September the diagnosis was changed to coronary thrombosis and the benefit was stopped. An Appeal was adjourned in November 1957. Letter from Mr Kitts NUM to the clerk of the Local Appeal Tribunal 6 February 1958 said: 'we have not been able to get a medical opinion to substantiate that the coronary thrombosis was due to the accident. I further understand that he has been advised to retire and has done so'. |
