Further information: According to the summary of facts on the appeal referral, the claimant had an accident at work on 21 July 1958 when he was struck on the left leg with a pan which was being turned over. The first medical certificate stated 'Dermatitis' but further certificates states 'Septic Leg.' Injury benefit was disallowed from 25 July 1958. A report of the Medical Officer is included. The appeal was allowed 'on a balance of probability' on 17 December 1958. The Chairman's notes state 'Never had any trouble with the leg before.'
