Title
Local Appeal Tribunal case file for George Haslam, aged 49, Greaser (underground) at Glapwell
Date
1958
Description
Date of birth:
Marital status: Married
Address: Stoney Houghton, Mansfield
Type of benefit claimed: Injury benefit
Type of injury: Injury - knee
Further information: Previous knee injury in 1953 resulting in a menisectomy and arthritis meant that Haslam's knee was prone to 'lock' so the claimant's incapacity was thought not to be attributable to the September 1957 accident by the Medical Officer. Mr C Stone for NUM gave account of recent medical / employment history including showing the certificate of the day after the accident which stated 'Injured knee'.
