Further information: Mr Freeman had an accident on 12 February 1954. From 21 December 1955 he was not entitled to a payment of special hardship in addition to Disablement gratuity. He appealed on a letter dated 2 January 1956. His wages as an engine driver were £8 12s 6d per week without overtime in October and November 1955. There is a handwritten note that states 'Salvage. Withdrawing steel arches £10-8-7 Strenuous work.' More details as to wages are provided in the statement by Mr Kitts on the Tribunal report. There is also the question of overtime as stated by Mr Fidler. The tribunal found against Mr Freeman on 19 January 1956, no reasons stated.
