Further information: Mr Crich injured himself on 9 September 1955, when he injured his back (according to claim form he slipped whilst walking down gate injuring his back and right leg.) Benefit was disallowed from 30 September 1955 to 3 October 1955 on the grounds that the incapacity is not a result of the relevant injury. The appeal hearing of 7 December 1955 was adjourned for medical evidence. The tribunal found against Mr Crich at a hearing on 11 January 1956.
