The file contains two photographs taken at the opening of the International Economic Conference in Moscow in April 1952.
It also contains 56 photographs, which form a series entitled 'Soviet Miners', accompanied by a typescript set of captions, dated 29 November 1959, for each of the photographs. The photographs feature various subjects: miners' towns in Georgia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, welfare facilities in the Stalino region [Donetsk, Ukraine], leisure activities, and child care. Fifty-seven photographs are listed in the captions but the fifth photograph listed appears to be missing. |
