| Administrative History | Bolsover is one of the ancient parishes of the county. The parish includes Glapwell, where there had been a chapel in the medieval period, and Whaley Thorns until its creation as a separate ecclesiastical parish in 1924, though the church there dates from 1878 and the registers from 1879. Some records destroyed in fire at Bolsover Church in 1960. |
| Custodial History | The records were deposited at Derbyshire Record Office by the parish in January 1941, July 1978, June 1989, June 1995, September 2018, October 2018, March 2021 and October 2023. A further item was donated by a member of the public in October 2024. |
