This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A Survey of the Manor house, outhousing, gardens etc with ye lands and 2 corn mills in Dronfeild in the Co. of Derby. The Estate of Ralph Burton esq. Lord therof, by Sam. Hutchinson 1710. Surveyor: Samuel Hutchinson. Scale: of 8 chains [1:2500] with dividers. Size: 60 x 55 cm. Materials: ink on paper in book of maps. Centred on: SK350785. Notes: compass rose, west at top. Shows named parcels of land, disoriented, with acreage: church in perspective, manor house with ornamental gardens, tracks and stylised trees: Over Mill, Nether Mill, Brown Storth Wood, 'Firth Wood about ye year 1698 was sold by the Acres then surveyed to 36.3.0 is in ye Lordship of Unstone and Parish of Dronfield.
