Title
Lease and release by Robert Gell of Wirksworth, baker (only son and heir at law and also devisee in fee under the last will and testament of Jacob Gell, late of Wirksworth, ore buyer, deceased), to Samuel Taylor of Leicester, gent, in consideration of £105, of all that undivided third part of him the said Robert Gell (the whole to be divided into three equal parts) of and in all those four closes situated within the parish of Matlock known as the Stonyway Head Closes but now more commonly known as Godbehere’s Stonyway Head Closes, now or late in the several possessions or holdings of Thomas Boden and Thomas Pearson, and also all the said Robert Gell’s undivided third part (the whole to be divided into three equal parts) of and in all those two allotments, plots, pieces or parcels of ground lying in the former open and now inclosed fields of Matlock, now or late also in the tenure or occupation of the said Thomas Boden and Thomas Pearson. Dated 4/5 April.
