Title
Assignment of a lease for 21 years by Thomas Johnes of Croft Castle in co. Hereford, esq., to Marmaduke Gwynne of Brecon in co. Brecon., esq. Phillip Pugh of Tyglyn in co. Cardigan, esq., and Robert Shore of Snitterton in co. Derby, gent of all the mines and groves of lead ore and copper ore, lapis Calrininaries, Black Jack or mock ore with all the rakes, pipes, flotts and veins and all other ores and minerals of all those several farms, messuages, or tenements called Llwyn y Gwiddil and Llwynn Llwyd situated in the parish of Gwnnws in co. Cardigan, now or late in the tenure of Morgan Thomas and John Morgan and also full power to work all mines hitherto opened, yielding and paying to the said Thomas Johnes the sum of £1 5s a ton for each ton of lead and copper ores which shall be raised. Dated 20 September.
