Title
Probate copy will (proved on 29 January 1890) of John Evans of The Temple, Matlock Bath, gent. He appoints his son William Warren Evans of Matlock Bath and his friend, Walter Barlow of Brinnington, Stockport, manufacturer, as his executors. He devises to them all his real estate upon trust to permit his wife Sarah Evans to occupy his house and land rent free. He bequeaths all his consumable household stores and provisions to his wife. The residue of his personal estate he bequeaths to the said William Warren Evans and Walter Barlow upon trust to permit his wife to select such articles of household furniture and effects as she may wish, and after her decease or marriage both the capital and the income of the trust fund to be on trust for his children, William Warren Evans, Betsy Evans and Sarah Evans in equal shares.
