Title
Papers relating to a dispute in Chancery between Edward and Francis Revell. Robert Revell bequeathed his estate to trustees to raise money to pay his debts and to pay his daughter Frances £3,000. The trustees sold part of the estate to pay the debts, reserving the coal upon it. Frances Revell died soon after marrying Strelley Pegge who became entitled to the £3000. Francis Revell, upon the death of his brother Robert entered the estate and pulled down a stable, coach-house and brew-house at Carnfield, felled timber, got coal and sold it. Edward Revell as next remainder-man wished to have it sold to pay the £3000
