Title
Exemplification of entry on the roll of a small court of the manor of High Peak at Chapel en le Frith, recording surrender and admission by Michael Holt, son and heir of E'me Holt, one of the sons of William Beard of a cottage at Rowlee and lands adjoining now in the occupation of John Wylde; a cottage with a garden at Beard Wood in the occupation of Ralph Ashton, and the northern part of a meadow at Shed yard in the occupation of William Beard, and a yearly rent of 2s out of Balde Beard to the use of Ralph Ashenhurst and Elizabeth and his wife and her heirs in tail. Yearly rent 14d. Fine 3s 6d.

Dorse: exemplification of a 1635 entry on the roll of the court baron of the manor of High Peak at Chapel en le Frith, recording surrender and admission by Katherine Yeaveley widow through Nicholas Creswell and John Lingard her attorneys of a cottage at Jowhole [?Jewellknoll], and a garden orchard and parcel of land called the Banke now or late in the occupation of Elizabeth Turner, widow or her assigns, and half a meadow at Shed yard in the tenure of Thomas Froggott or his assigns, to uses declared in the will of Katherine, viz. to the use of Ralph Ashenhurst and Edward Holt. Fine 3s
