Title
Conveyance by Henry, 5th Earl of Huntingdon and others to Richard Whyniat als. Whynaird of Chellaston, gent in consideration of the £113 4s, 9d., of the site of the Manor House with 4 closes arable (66 acres ) and 2 acres meadow (tenant Agnes Bancroft), a cottage and 6 acres arable and divers pits and mines known as the Plaister Pittes with 6 acres arable, parcel of demesne lands of Chellaston and 12 acres arable and 1 rood meadow belonging to the above cottage ( tenant Thomas Whyniat formerly the possessions of the college of the Blessed Virgin at Newark (Nottinghamshire) also a cottage , a garden with a posticoe ( backside ) and a piece of land called Fould Yard. (tenants Matthew Botham and Emott Newton) a cottage garden and posticoe (tenant George Kilbourne als. Kilborne ) and a rood called a Fould Yard 1 rood meadow1 rood pasture and 3 acres 1 rood arable 6th May 20 Jas 1 arable (tenant Robert Whyniat), subject to rents of £4 14s., 24d., 6s. 8d., 4s. and 6s. 3d. to the crown.
