Assignment by Dame Elizabeth Coke to Robert Keircheman of Hemington (Leicester) yeoman, (reciting mortgage in £2660 (1647/8) by the Earl, Robert Bowley of Kings Newton(now deceased), John Lindop of Melbourne and Richard Milner of Melbourne to the said Sir John Coke, of the manor and castle of Melbourne and all appurtenant lands, rights etc. (except the lands called Ramsley Wood with Donnington park ) and also a close known as Bennett Close (80 acres) and other and purchased from Brian Bewley and Henry Bewley, for a term of 30 years) in consideration of £32 12s., of the "fore share" of 4 acres meadow in a meadow called Hall Meadowe at Melbourne (tenant John Lindopp).
