Surrender in Matlock manor court, by Thomas Poundall of Matlock, yeoman, in consideration of £170, of a parcel of copyhold land, lately taken out of a close adjoining the turnpike road to Cromford, at Matlock Bath, with the site of a dwelling house, lately demolished, which has been laid to a carriage road leading from the said turnpike road to the house of Charles Clarke - to the use of Charles Clarke (see D170/2/4). 10 Jun
