Description
These documents chiefly relate to the area of the High Peak which formed part of the Duchy of Lancaster estates. They include papers relating to coal mining in the New Mills area, 1728-1730 (D1673 Z/8-9), legal costs for prosecuting Luddites in Bugsworth, 1812-1814 (D1673 Z/61) and a copy lease of High Peak leadmines to the Duke of Devonshire, 1849 (D1673 Z/13).
