Administrative History | Ilkeston School Board was formed in July 1878. The following Board schools were built: Granby, Kensington, Chaucer Street, Wesley Street (later Cotmanhay road) and Gladstone. The former British school on Bath Street was also taken over for a while in the early 1890's and later closed. The first volume was formerly used for school attendance committee minutes May 1877 to August 1878. |
