DescriptionThis map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

Plan of town centre and Bolehill area showing lands of Dean and Chapter of Lincoln. ?late 18c. Scale: 6 chains to 1 inch [1:4800] and 1 chain to 1 inch [1:800]. Size: 70 x 99 cm. Materials: ink on paper, conserved under plastic and backed on card, some colour. Centred on: SK286539 Notes: two parts on one sheet: (i) after enclosure Wirksworth Moor and Bolehill, Dean of Lincoln's enclosure coloured green, old enclosures black numbers, allotments with red numbers: (ii) town centre property within manor of Dean of Lincoln shaded red and numbered, no terrier: shows swine market, market place, Crown Inn, Red Lion Inn, church and church house, almshouses, vicarage house, Town Hall [on centre of market place], Warmbrook, Coldwell street, North End.
