Administrative History
This was formerly a chapelry of Duffield (see D2402), but was created an ecclesiastical parish in 1858. It was licensed for baptisms in 1819 and for marriages and burials in 1847. The parish included part of Ambergate, until this was created a separate ecclesiastical parish in 1899. Buckland Hollow and Toadmoor were also part of Heage.
