Administrative History	Church Broughton Parish Council was established under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area.
Custodial History	The records were deposited with Derbyshire Record Office by the Parish Council in July 1975, October 1996, August 2002, February 2005, April 2009, June 2015 and March 2023.
