Administrative History
The townships of Alvaston and Boulton were intermixed, and the earliest register containing Boulton entries is to be found among the Alvaston parish records (see D878). There was a mission church at Crewton, dedicated to St Peter (see D4470). Boulton was originally a chapelry of Derby, St Peter.
