TitleMarriage settlement between William Webster of Barlow Lees, Yeoman, son and heir of William Webster of the same place, yeoman, by Ruth his wife, both deceased, Sarah Webster of Barlow Lees, widow of Matthew Webster, grandfather of William Webster, Robert Pashley of Stainton, Yorks, gent., and George Purslove of Lambcoat Grange, Stainton, gent., and Ann Purslove, one of the daughters of Matthew Purslove of Lambcoat Grange, deceased, sister of George Purslove, by which, in consideration of the marriage of William Webster and Ann Purslove and £300, William and Sarah have released to Robert Pashley and George Purslove, all that mesuage house, farm or tenement with one cottage house belonging in Dore at a place called Lymyate, and closes of land, meadow or pasture called New Ground, New Close, the Croft, Long Lym, Little Lym, Calf Nook, Three Cow Lyms and the Intack, 30a by estimation and also all that mesuage, dwelling house or tenement in Newbold in the occupation of Matthew Furnace, and several closes called Mean Leese, 7a. by estimation: to the use of William Webster until the marriage then the messuage and closes in Dore to the use of William Webster for life, then to the use of Ann his wife for life, then to the use of their lawful issue, in default to the use of the heirs of the body of William Webster and in default of issue to the use of Sarah Webster her heirs and assigns; the messuage and closes in Newbold to the use of William Webster for life, then to the use of his wife Ann for life, then to the use of their lawful male issue, in default to the use of the heirs of the body of William Webster and in default of issue to the use of William Webster.
