Administrative HistoryElmton is one of the ancient parishes in the county, including the township of Elmton and Creswell. A separate church dedicated to St Mary Magdalene, was built at Creswell in the late nineteenth century, and the parish later became Elmton with Creswell
Custodial HistoryAcquired by Derbyshire Record Office in 1974.
