Title
Francis Moore*, Bog of Geeth to Colonel Thomas Sanders Little Ireton - I have written to Captain. Coulson who lies near the headquarters, desiring him to peruse the general order for the passing of one colonel since 23 May also your 2 men from that time and the Captain lieutenant, myself and Quartermaster Perkinson since 11 July - I have reserved room for the Captain and Corporal Green's men - Sir Captain Prittie marching this way on Thursday last towards his new troop at Fawkland (Falkland, Fife), I told him we had a warrant for six weeks' pay and that I expected that you would expect what was due to the colonel - he said Major Creed and others thought to receive it as it was disposed of by Lord Richard Cromwell* for his time - since our arrival in Scotland and we have received it but 4 months' pay and Cornet Paule has stopped £167. 12s of it at London, so that we know not whom of your troop in England wants pay - we hear of great insurrections in England - I think we shall draw into winter quarters at Elgin 25 Aug
