Description
Records of the parish of Barton Blount, St Chads from 1763. Barton Blount is one of the ancient parishes in the county, and its boundaries have not significantly altered. The church was declared redundant and the parish has been united with Church Broughton since 1924. According to the Kelly's directories between 1891 and 1922, the registers for the parish commence in 1558: though from 1925 onwards, this has been changed to 1763. These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in a number of consignments beginning in February 1973.
