Description
This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
Observations made on the bounds of the parish of Ashover on the 5th day of May 1703, Ascension Day. Size: 15 x 22.5 cm. Materials: ink on parchment. Centred on: SK349631. Notes: no scale or north point. Shows parish church in elevation, places noted on route include Sandiford bridge, Shuckthorn cross, Crouder stone, Milken Lane and Stubbing Edge Lane: endorsed: `The bounds of Ashover parish as they were rcd in the year 1703'. Location: DRO, D1088M/E94.
