Manor of Normanton with lands in Normanton, Osmaston and Lytchurch, including tithes in Normanton and Cotton, advowson of St Peter's vicarage, Derby, and land in Rotten Row and Walker Lane, Derby, sold by John Babington to Henry Beaumont of Derby, esq., 1584; passed by Beaumont marriage to Wolstan Dixie, settled as manor and impropriate rectory of Normanton, advowson of St Peter's, Derby (both lately in tenure of Sir Henry Harpur and wife), Cottons manor and lands in Sinfin, Newton and Aston 1627; resettled 1652, with property in Coton; and Market Bosworth, (Leicestershire), added to settlement in 1659; advowson of St Peter's conveyed to Dixie heir and wife absolutely 1678; ? main block resettled with common recovery by Gracebridge from Foster 1726
