Description
Bequeathing goods and sums of money to John and wife Elizabeth Bagshaw 2 shillings for their children's part, 10 shillings 6 pence for their children, and to his son John Bacon a close known as "Grimes Medow" adjoining the Dawlee after the death of the testator and his wife, paying £13 5 shillings to his son Matthew Bacon within a year, to his son John Bacon his linen ("lining") after his and his wife's death, to his Ann 3 shillings 4 pence, and to his wife Mary Bacon all the rest of his gods and chattels. and appointing his wife Mary as sole executrix, with Henry Witworth and Christopher Hardwicke as supervisors fbeing paid £2). Dated 25 January 1648 23rd year of the King's [Charles I] reign. Not signed, handwriting contemporary with date of will.
