Bond of John Newton of Ripley, yeoman, in the penal sum of £600, to pay John Mason of Thrumpton, county of Nottingham, yeoman, £306 15 shillings next August, as in pair of indentures between John Newton and John Mason,
In consideration of £300, to secure principal and 4½% interest.
Dated 4 Feb 1742 and 16 George II: by modern reckoning the year is 1743.
