Description
Indenture between (1) John Newton of Ripley, yeoman, and (2) William Strelty of Ripley, chandler, and Richard Bridden of the liberty of Greenhills in the liberty of Matlock, yeoman, concerning a kitchen, chamber, garret and half part of bakehouse, barn and stable, part of the messuage of John Newton in Ripley, and lands called the Cocks Croft, the Well Close, the Hodge Close and the Croft End.
In consideration of £130 already paid and £20 more to be paid by Humfrey Marshall as a marriage portion for Rebeka, now wife of John Newton.
Endorsed with memorandum of delivery of seisin.
